Bay City Central Boys & Girls Cross Country – Recap

“Bay City Central Cross Country ran the SVL North Jamboree on Tuesday. Leading the way for the boys were Hunter Seifferly, Chalmer Young and Nick Luna. The girls were led by Olivia Kain, Addison Mayfield and Natalia Costilla. Andrew Bernelis, Will Moore, Katrina White, Kristanelly Olvera and Chalmer Young all ran season best with Chalmer shaving off just shy of a minute from his season best. Natalia Costilla followed her last race PR with another PR performance. We have been working on character, development and leadership this season and when asked to rate their own work ethic Natalia said she may not be the fastest runner but she will always push herself to the limit. As a coach it makes me feel good to read her personal reflection and see it play out during the race. Natalia has a strong mind and with that she will only continue to improve!” – Coach Russ Gorski
